She does work on muscles but instead of massaging them intensively, she massages connective tissue around the muscles which encourages the muscles to relax on their own. But it's really not about the muscles at all. It's more like your entire nervous system is being soothed and taught to soothe itself. But it even goes beyond connective tissue.
